Orange Grove used to be called “Millionaire’s Row.”
This used to be the Huntington Hotel (now the Huntington Ritz Carleton). I’ve used this place as the Castleton Hotel in the Daisy books.

South Grand Avenue, near where Daisy & family lived.
Cawston’s Ostrich Farm, close to the speakeasy where Harold and Daisy went in HIGH SPIRITS.
The Shakespeare Club.
Marengo Avenue, where Daisy & her family lived. It once was lined with pepper trees. By the time Daisy & Co. Lived there, it had been paved.
Orange Grove Blvd., where Daisy’s best client, Mrs. Kincaid, lived.
This is Foothill Boulevard (now Altadena Drive), where Mrs. Bissell lived. Actually, this is just about exactly where my aunt used to live.
Brookside Park. This is where Daisy & Billy will take Spike for dog obedience lessons in GENTEEL SPIRITS. I took my very first dachshund there for the same reason!
Hotel Green. Part of it is still there, only it’s called the Castle Green, and it’s been made into wonderful apartments.
The Busch house. Yes, the beer Busch.
